A few months ago, a few of us BJA pros were able to return to the annual Blackjack Ball, an invite-only event hosted by Max Rubin. It’s a collection of about a hundred of the most accomplished card counters and advantage players in the world. Needless to say, it’s always a fascinating collection of people.
Max Rubin began the Blackjack Ball in 1997 as a way to celebrate the craft of card counting. Max is an incredible host, a great guy, and an accomplished card counter.

He shared with me his story, the story of the Blackjack Ball, and his take on the future of card counting and advantage play.
