In this episode of our Blackjack Apprenticeship Podcast, Ben and Colin discuss what they are doing to get ready for this weekend’s (June 6th) bootcamp in vegas. There are still one or two seats available. If you are interested sign up here, or email benblackjack@gmail.com and talk to Ben directly about going.

Fantastic. Keep these podcasts coming.
Look, when leaving a positive shoe you are paralyzing yourself from the neck up. Cold shoes are going to eat you alive. Especially, six and even niners. The more you play it out, the more you know what’s left and what you’re going to be able to earn. Instead of losing hand after hand to figure out what the potential is at the end of the shoe. By then you may be BROKE!!!
Colin, people are strongly intimidated by loss. They win 50 or 100 or 1000 and then they lose 5 or 10 three or four times and assume that’s a bad table altogether. They won’t even wait for the new shoe. I’m hoping you guys build that confidence they’re lacking when you set them straight. It’s not about how much you’ve lost or how much you’re going to win. I would love to hear more BlackJack players say the obvious. It’s about how much you’ve already won.
Ben I think people are addicted to hearing success stories. Not about the time spent learning or struggling but the big payoff. The people you train and the people you come across are very much the same when they are willing to lose money to learn something. Rather than wait, and invest and simmer down the excitement a little for a few months they want to spend their life savings praying by luck.
There is no cure for heart ache but cold hard cash. And unfortunately, they’re going to go back again and again to get that cure but they don’t realize its all part of the casinos plan.
