i still dont get how this works, i can count now but how does this help you win. i understand you know what’s already on the table and what is most likely to come out, but u dont have a very accurate idea of what is going to come out, can someone explain how hi – lo has a conclusion to being able to win a hand.
Using the Hi-Lo system helps you identify which hands you have the advantage on so you can bet more money during those hands.
When the true count is high, and you have a much bigger chance of winning, getting a blackjack or whatever. Isn’t there a big chance for the dealer to also win?
There is a larger chance for the dealer to get a blackjack, but there is also a much great chance of them busting. It’s our chances of getting a blackjack, which pays us 3:2, that make the high count and advantageous situation.

Alex- Not all count systems are the same, and not all involve a True Count. We use HiLo due to both its simplicity and effectiveness. Omega II may be a more accurate system, but it requires more time/effort/ and accuracy to implement. All those things can easily lead to human error, which can lead to decreased EV – and possibly putting the advantage back in the casino’s hands.
So would you use the same deviation decisions with Omega II as you would with Hi-Lo?

What is the advantage of TC KO or any unbalanced count and how does it look like? Could you give an example?
KO, being an unbalanced count, has less advantage than using HiLo. Feel free to get some more help in our Forums: HERE.
I back counted at a PA casino a full shoe on three different tables. If i told you the count on each table ended at -25 to – 30.
The shoe was 6 decks with 1.5 penetration

That’s a good question…
I wouldn’t be weirded out by by it. Now, if I counted down 20 shoes and that kept happening, that’d start to be odd. But even if a casino were to decide to “cheat” by removing cards, they would remove the 10′s and Aces (since those are the most valuable to the player). If they did that, every shoe would end up positive (because there would be fewer negative cards). So I’m sure there wasn’t foul play involved.
I’ve seen shoes in the +50′s and -50′s. It’s definitely out of the ordinary to have 3 tables in a row have a big negative count at the end, but I’m sure was coincidence.
That’s what I would think.
