Hey Ben, thanks for all the Videos!
I just got a short question regarding this video: what does Double Deck mean? That you can double your bet on any two cards in your first hand (and not only on a sum of 9 to 11)? Or that you are playing with only two decks? Probably you have explained it already in a Video and i just missed it, I beg your pardon if thats the case, but as I am from germany its quite hard for me to understand everything. I have to go through the videos very slowly and carefully, and just haven´t foundthe answere yet.
Looking forward to your Response, und viele Grüße aus dem verregneten Deutschland!
Jan,
Double Deck means they deal from only 2 decks. It is much less common than 6 or 8 deck nowadays. But most Las Vegas casinos have at least one Double Deck table, as do many other casinos in the US.
Thanks Colin,
Unfortunately they don´t have that in Germany, at least not any place I know… The entire rules are worse here… you can only double on 9-11, only split once, and no doubling on split hands, and they use minimum 6 decks (If they don´t even shuffel after each round -.-) so I guess I will have to make my money the usual way, or move to USA
double deck means 2 deck only? and dealer stand at soft 17 means they stop at 17 right?
dealer stands soft 17 u mean that he’ll stand with a A’s 6 or just stand when he make it to 17?
Gilmher,
S17 (stand on soft 17) means that he stays on any soft 17, so A,6 or A,2,4 or A,3,3. In an H17 game, the dealer would continue to hit until they have at least a hard 17.
thanks Colin!
Hello I would like your help. In the movie 21 you know how there like using the bp strategy. I was wondering what is a high + to start bringing in the big player and one more thing if im trying to earn $100,000 how much money should we start out with. And i mean $100,000 earning in one visit. Thank you
David,
21 the movie is as much fiction as it is fact. There is no way to guarantee winning $100,000 in one visit. Card counting gives you the advantage over time. You have no guarantee of winning any given day, week, or even month. But if you are a well training card counter with an adequate bankroll, you can win money over time.
We think of winning money in terms of “EV.” We don’t have a bankroll to “win $100,000″, but to earn $100,000 worth of EV. So there isn’t even a proper way to answer your question.
Watch our videos and you’ll understand what card counting is REALLY like after a while.
thank you
Mike- Double deck does mean only 2 decks, and Stand on soft 17 means that the dealer stands when they have an Ace,6. The Ace can be either a 1 or 11, that’s what makes the hand “soft”, because it can either be 7 or 17.
