Hey whats up man nice videos and nice site and i like your biography too your a cool guy stayed up all night reading it anyway ive never been to a casino but im planning on going very soon and counting cards and stuff and i was wondering if you could take the basic strategy cards in the casino with you and look at them at the table? Sorry if thats a stupid question.

Yeah, you can bring a basic strategy card in. I wouldn’t bring a full paper, probably. Just don’t tell them that you’re trying to learn how to count cards!

Hey man. You guys are really awesome for putting free videos up. We are forming an ‘army’ here too in your following because we are motivated by your passion. BJApprenticeship FTW. Thanks for sharing man, we think it’s pretty noble.

Hey great vids, you are really helping people here unlike some other sites that don’t really help at all. My question is concerning the 8 pairs. I’m sure you have gotten this alot but whats with the myth that you should not split 8’s against a 10 or ace? Is there any reasoning behind this like for advance card counters? Just thought I should ask.

  5. Kinetic says:

For Basic Strategy players, always split those 8’s. Don’t think of it as trying to win two hands, but trying to not lose a 16. By splitting you have a higher chance of making at least one hand better and therefore perhaps winning one and losing the other. Thus a break even.
